Students will immerse themselves in a week-long program learning or augment skills in coding. Distinct from learning one language, they will learn programming structure and critical thinking skills. These skills will give them an advantage in life, even should they decide not to pursue a career in STEM. As part of the program, they will work with custom kits designed by real-world engineers!
Starting in 2026, a cybersecurity track will be offered! This is a developing field; apprentices will learn the basics of cybersecurity and a bit of networking fundamentals. They will also start to learn about scripting, the command line and different tool suites. This can be a hyper-technical lift, so we'll make sure the curriculum is challenging yet able to be absorbed by young minds. This is designed to be a class for high-performing children who are academically capable.
A core tenet of Kids, Coding & Cybersecurity is to bridge the DIGITAL DIVIDE by making technology accessible to all communities. We are starting a Scholarship Program for a select number of apprentices. These awards are based on need and ability. (There may be a test if the application pool is too large.) A parent or educator may download the Scholarship form and complete it on behalf of a deserving apprentice.
Kids, Coding & Cybersecurity does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, religion, national origin or any other protected characteristic prohibited or
enjoined by Federal Law. We sincerely believe that TECHNOLOGY should seek to unite. Therefore, we welcome all youth who seek to learn and improve themselves. This is how they will improve the world.
